Dance Repertory Company
Alongside technique classes MCA is proud to provide a range of performance opportunities for our students in keeping with our mission to build their confidence and mastery of their art forms.
Students may audition for MCA’s pre-professional performing ensemble, the Dance Repertory Company (DRC), or MCA’s junior ensembe, the Dance Repertory Company II (for dancers ages 5-13). Biennially DRC presents a full-length production of the traditional holiday classic The Nutcracker as well as The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party. DRC also plays a key role in marking MCA’s major anniversaries, presenting Anniversary Concerts that engage current students with our extensive alumni network.
DRC students have gone on to study and perform with: American Ballet Theatre, Anaya Dance Theatre, Ballet Austin, Joffery Ballet, Limon Dance Company, Radio City Music Hall, Milwaukee Ballet, St. Paul Ballet, and more.

Dance Repertory Company Presents: MCA Celebrates 50 Years of Arts Excellence
The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) and Saint Mary’s University Department of Fine and Performing Arts will present the Dance Repertory Company in Celebrating 50 Years of Arts Excellence.
This year’s performance incorporates both classical and contemporary dance, including excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty, Le Corsaire, and Swan Lake, a 1920’s style jazz piece, and a newly commissioned contemporary dance work. Additionally, several of MCA’s music and theatre division students present instrumental and vocal music, along with musical theatre songs, that are sure to inspire.
Performances: Thursday, March 30 & Friday, March 31, 2023 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, April 1 at 3:00 pm on the Saint Mary’s University’s campus at the Page Theatre.
Tickets: On sale on Wednesday, March 1 at MCA’s front office during our normal office hours. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children/senior citizens. Cash or check only is accepted.
Other Performance Opportunities
In addition to the Dance Repertory Company MCA tries to offer performance opportunities both big and small through the participation in National Tap Dance Day, Irish Festivals, Ready Set School’s Chili Cook Off, Winona Public Library events, performances at Nursing homes and more. Between Summer Camps, MCA’s Music and Theatre Divisions there are plenty of performance opportunities and chances to attend performances.
