The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) has a long history of supporting area homeschoolers and that is why we find ourselves in a space where families are turning to us to seek answers about how they can adjust to new educational challenges presented due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For any families that are homeschooling, virtual schooling and or participating in hybrid schooling this Fall, MCA is moderating a live Zoom chat with a panel of seasoned homeschool parents to share their experience and answer your questions. You can join live on Saturday, August. 22 at 11am CST. There is no cost to attend and anyone is welcome to attend, however there will be a portion that will focus on sharing local Winona area resources.
Winona State University Alumni are invited to explore their creative side during three upcoming virtual art classes provided over Zoom in partnership with Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA). These workshops are provided free to any WSU Alumni in partnership with WSU Alumni Engagement. Workshops will build upon each other, but a quick review at the beginning of each session will assist students that missed a previous session. Registration is required in order to receive a Zoom link approximately two hours prior to each class.

The musical will feature 20 youth hailing from Winona, Minnesota City, and North Mankato, Minnesota, Alma, Fountain City, and La Crosse, Wisconsin and Rapid City, South Dakota.
Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) is thrilled to announce that it has been selected to receive a monetary gift from the “For The Love Of Dance Challenge.” The challenge is a charity event was created by Apolla Performance Wear, LLC and Dance Arts Centre. Join us for an exciting week of rhythm! Each day campers will receive a pre-recorded tap lesson including a warm-up, technique lesson, & combinations. Students will then have the opportunity to meet up virtually over Zoom with instructors/classmates each evening to clarify material, learn a bit of history, or concepts to round out their tap education. Calling actors ages 7-16 years old… You are invited to combine their acting, singing, and dancing skills as you perform in a completely virtual musical, Super Happy Awesome New! Super Happy Awesome News is written to be rehearsed remotely, performed virtually, and shared with audiences online. Rehearsals will run Aug. 3-17 and the virtual premiere will be Aug. 29th at 6pm.
