These classes provide a positive way to help young people learn to express themselves and explore the world around them while also building important life skills such as public speaking. Making a Music Video

Direct, film and star in your own music video set to your favorite song! Students in this class will learn the basics of editing software to bring their music video to life.

Adventures in Acting: Musical Theatre Repertoire

Learn to perform your favorite musicals! Students will learn a song and choreography from a musical each week, choosing one to practice and perform at the end of the session. In addition to the weekly class, students will also be provided with one 15 minute private coaching session in preparation for the final recorded performance.

Theatrical Make-up Class
Preparing for Performance Workshop

These three classes are a part of our 2020 Summer Dance Intensive but would be valuable to any artist aged 10+. These workshops will provide insight into preparing for a dance and theatrical productions. Our guest lecturers will provide interesting background on how dance costuming is designed and created, how theatrical makeup is designed and applied, as well as a discussion of utilizing dance performance psychology to create success and consistency onstage. Each virtual workshop has a hands-on component to keep students engaged.

Days/Dates: Wednesdays, July 8-22 Time: 4-5:15pm Fee: $27 (all 3 weeks) or $9 ea. Guest Speakers: Anastasia Goodwin (Saint Mary’s University of MN Costume Designer)- July 8, Daniel Klingler (Broadway make-up and wig professional and author of Everyday Make-up Secrets)- July 15, and Tammy Schmidt (MCA Director of Dance)- July 22.
