Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA), Galleria Valéncia at the will feature “The Beauty Around Us” an exhibit by artist Heidi Bacon Jan.2- Jan. 31, 2020. The public is invited to the show’s opening reception with the artist on Saturday, Jan. 25th, 12:30-2 pm (Updated due to weather concerns for Jan. 18). Visitors can expect to be wowed as they view paintings of the Mississippi River, the falls in Mantorville, MN, a swan family, a coyote pouncing in the snow and a scene from Frontenac State Park.
About The Artist
Heidi Bacon has been a freelance artist from an early age. Self-taught, working in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen & ink, and clay to create portraits, landscapes, murals, furniture, fiber arts, jewelry and illustrations. She was featured in the 2014 edition of the Artist’s Catalog and has illustrated for Country Living Magazine. Recent illustrations can also be found in the children’s books “My Grandma Makes Lefse” and “How to Make Grandma Skarstad’s Lefse”. Heidi’s work is also on display at the Artisan Collective in Red Wing. About Galleria Valéncia and MCA
There is no fee to visit the exhibit. The Galleria will also be open during regular office hours: Mondays through Wednesdays & Fridays 9am-7pm, Thursdays 11:30 am- 5:30 pm and Saturdays 9-Noon and while evening and Weekend classes are in session.
