The Winona Area Homeschooler exhibit never seems to disappoint and 2018 is no exception! For the fourth year in a row the walls in Galleria Valéncia at Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts are filled with artwork created by homeschoolers from the Winona Area. The variety of mediums used, subject matter and artistic techniques make this exhibit unique and fun for all ages to view.

The artists who range in age from 3 years- 15 years include; James Bickerstaff, John Paul Bickerstaff, Auric Gotz, Kinsey Keeling, Gregory Martin, Leonarde Martin, Louis Martin, Isaac Meinke, Preston Meinke, Madeline Modjeski, Iliana Rickert, Luke Rickert, Laura Schleich, Seamus Schwaba, Aviya Swagger, Isaias, Sam Swagger,  Abby Thurmer, and William Thurmer, Paint pouring, string art, oil pastel drawing, watercolor painting and photography are just a few of the creative ways the young artists use to express themselves.

The community is invited to view the Winona Area Homeschool exhibit now through the end of Jan. 2018 during regular business hours (Mondays & Tuesday 9am-7pm, Wednesdays 11:30-5:30pm, Thursdays & Fridays 9am-3pm and Saturdays 9am-Noon) or celebrate with the artists during a small open house celebration on Jan. 17th, 5:30-6:30pm.

Thanks to generous donation by the Elizabeth Callender King Foundation the visitor and artist experience has been greatly improved by a new hanging rail system.
