Give the Gift of Creativity

The arts are so much more than merely learning steps, lines, stokes or notes. It takes teamwork, discipline, strength, creativity, experimentation, confidence and patience…Life lessons all wrapped up beautifully with a bow.

By making a donation to The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) today, you’re helping to ensure that our multi-art infused education programs and performances are accessible to all area community members- regardless of their ability to pay. Join the #GivingTuesday movement and support #MCAontheGo to give a child a chance to dance, help seniors stay active or help budding musicians thrive.

CLICK HERE to make your donation. Donations will go to support #MCAontheGo arts programming out in the community and the MCA scholarship fund. Last year MCA impacted over 8,500 people through programs and performances and provided financial scholarships to 65 students that made arts participation possible.

Donate anytime between now and Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at Midnight and you could win a fabulous prize including a beautiful print of local Photographer, Teri Tenseth Market from her exhibit currently in Galleria Valencia at MCA or a stylish MCA zip Sweatshirt.

The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts strives to be a part of the community. #MCAontheGo is MCA’s community outreach program which enables us to make the arts accessible to all community members regardless of age, race, gender, economic status, geographic location or abilities. Throughout the year MCA partners with local organizations, businesses and schools to make the largest impact. Recent #MCAontheGo activities include; mask making at Winona Health’s Healthy Kid’s Zombie Crawl & Saint Mary’s University Community Trick-or-Treating, Drama Club at Kid’s First Community Center, Adaptive Dance Classes for clients from Home and Community Options, arts themed story-times at the Winona Public Library, visual art activities at Winona’s Indoor Playground and La Crosse Children’s Museum, dancing in the streets during LiveWell Winona’s Play Streets, Jazz Combos performances at Acoustic Cafe and Jefferson’s Pub & Grill, Irish Dancing at Watkins Manor and The Monarch and dance class at the Winona Friendship Center during National Senior Health & Fitness Day.

These outreach activities are generally made available to the public for free or a very low cost. If you enjoy seeing us out and about in your community please keep us in mind this November 29th as we join the #GivingTuesday movement to ensure that our outreach programs can continue and grow. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks-off the holiday giving season and inspires people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

We welcome you to follow us with #MCAontheGo on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and now Snapchat. When you see this you will know when we are going to drama club at Kid’s First, introducing a child to dance at a Winona Health Healthy Kids event, entertaining diners at a local establishment, or dancing with residents at an assisted living facility.
