Galleria Valéncia at the Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts (MCA) will feature “Winter Reflections” an exhibit by artist Heidi Bacon Dec. 1- Dec. 31, 2016.

Heidi has been a freelance artist from an early age. Self-taught, working in oils, acrylics, watercolor, pen & ink, and clay to create portraits, landscapes, murals, furniture, fiber arts, jewelry and illustrations. She was featured in the 2014 edition of the Artist’s Catalog and has illustrated for Country Living Magazine. Recent illustrations can also be found in the children’s books “My Grandma Makes Lefse” and “How to Make Grandma Skarstad’s Lefse”. Heidi’s work is also on display at the Red Wing Art Association at the train station and at Hobgoblin Music. The public is invited to the show’s opening reception with the artist from Noon- 2pm on Dec. 10th at the Valencia Arts Center.

The galleria will also be open during regular office hours: Mondays through Tuesday 9am-7pm, Wednesdays 11:30am- 5:30pm and Thursday-Friday  9 am to 3 pm and while evening and Weekend classes are in session.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support Grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts, an affiliate program of Saint Mary’s University, is a nonprofit organization, offering programming in dance, music, visual art, and theatre.
