The Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts is busy preparing and providing you with opportunities to discover the arts through our #MCAontheGO Community Outreach events and performances. All of these opportunities are free unless otherwise noted and they are a great opportunity to get to know MCA and experience the arts on a shoestring budget. So grab your calendar and save the date for the amazing community events listed below that we will be a part of!

  • Be Our Guest, Family Arts Academy- Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, 5:30-6:30, bring your family and explore the arts together through visual arts activities and a musical performance designed around the beloved story of “Beauty and the Beast”. Learn more about MCA’s free Family Arts Academy workshops.
  • MCA will be hosting Little Learners at the Children’s Museum of La Crosse at 10:30 am on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017. Join us…FREE with admission or membership!
  • Journey Beyond Platform 9 3/4, Family Arts Academy- calling all Harry Potter Fans… join us for an evening of fun arts activities for all ages on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, 5:30-6:30pm. Learn more about MCA’s free Family Arts Academy workshops.
  • 3rd Annual MCA Free-4-All- Spend the day checking out a wide variety of dance and theatre classes offered at MCA, meet instructors, get fitted for dance shoes and much more on Saturday, Jan. 6th, 2018. View the Free-4-All schedule.
  • Music & Movement– Young children will squeal with delight  when they join MCA during the Early Explorers program at the Winona Public Library on Feb. 7, 2018, 10:30-11am.
  • Chaotic Playground- Intermediate- come explore arts opportunities throughout the state on Saturday, Feb. 24, 10am-4pm at Perpich Center for Arts Education in Minneapolis. MCA’s Director of Dance will be teaching a ballet master class for intermediate and advanced dancers.
  • MCA Jazz Combos Performance– MCA’s talented youth combos will perform a concert open to the public on Feb. 28, 2018, 6-7pm at Figiulio Recital Hall on the Saint Mary’s University Campus in the Performance Center. Learn more about MCA’s Music Division.
  • Irish Dance Performance– Start your Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration early at Monarch Public House in Fountain City, WI on March 16th, 2018.
  • Irish Dance Performance– MCA’s Irish Dancers will help community members celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and also the year anniversary of the Island City Brewing Co. of Winona on March 17, 2018.
  • MCA Jazz Combos Performance– MCA’s talented youth combos will perform a concert open to the public on March 21, 2018, 5:30pm at Wellington’s Pub & Grill in Winona. Learn more about MCA’s Music Division.
  • “Magic of the Arts”– Celebrate the Arts with guitar performances and crafts during the April 14, 2018, Noon-2pm Second Saturday at the Winona Visitor’s Center.
