Under the guidance of Instructor and Choreographer Christine Martin, Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts advanced tap dancers; Carter Full, Hannah Graff, Nathan Graff, Viva Graff, Nadia Hocum, Justine Meinke, and Lucy Wilfahrt auditioned and were selected to perform in the Twin Cities Tap Festival Showcase on Thursday, Oct. 19th at 7:30 pm at the Cowles Center in Minneapolis, MN. The piece selected is called Counting Stars and is about reaching for the stars, counting our blessings, and expressing joy of life, rhythm, and movement. Through the rehearsal process the dancers have spent time exploring concepts like gratitude, communication, confidence, and the power of artistic expression.

Winona area dance enthusiasts don’t have to travel to the Cities to see the performance, they are invited to attend the dancer’s final dress rehearsal on Sunday, Oct. 15th at 7:30pm at Minnesota Conservatory for the Arts. This performance is free and open to the public lasting approximately 15-20 minutes and will include the dance performance and a little explanation of the process.
